Doctor’s notes:

During the patient’s first visit, Dr. Wu mixed herbal powder that can improve yang energy and Huoxiangzhengqi liquid to form a paste and put it in patient’s navel (Shenque point, CV8). After one hour of Tui Na, cupping and quantum healing, the pain subsided and patient’s mental state improved significantly. Three days later, a follow-up call was made, and patient reported that the tumor on the side of her tongue miraculously disappeared, and the effect was very fast.

After three days, patient started to take the Chinese medicine herbal formula orally, in combination with external application in the navel of the herbal mixture. The prescription was based on the holistic view of TCM and the TCM thinking of syndrome differentiation and treatment as the guiding ideology, seeking the root cause of the disease, and targeting the etiology and pathogenesis (deficiency of spleen and kidney yang, internal accumulation of dampness).

Dr. Wu also asked the patient to stop consuming milk products, soybean products and other cold and phlegm-damp causing foods, and to practice Qi Gong every day, combining movement and stillness.

At the end of January 2023, the patient went to the cancer hospital for physical examination, and the result was negative, and there was no recurrence in two years. The oncologist believes that the patient does not need to have an annual oncology examination anymore. Dr. Wu encouraged the patient to continue practicing Qi Gong, continue to eat healthy and enjoy life.

The key to the success of this case is that the patient, recommended by a friend, had watched the TCM cultural documentary "Who Am I?" before seeing Dr. Wu. After watching the one-hour and 45-minute long documentary, the patient realized why the previous integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment failed. The tumor hospital uses traditional Chinese medicine in conjunction with the three major therapies (surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy), under the conventional framework of Western medicine to treat only the symptoms.

Watching the documentary helped the patient become aware of the importance of seeking the root cause of the disease and the ancient Chinese philosophy of "70% nourishment and 30% treatment". At the first visit on January 10, 2021, the patient had full confidence in the doctor, and the patient was able to accept and re-establish a new living habit. At the same time, through Tui Na, energy therapy, and clapping therapy, the negative information in the subconscious mind was instantly eliminated, and the anxiety of the past year was relieved. Patient learned to live in the moment. TCM philosophy let patients control their health, be their best doctor. All of these together stimulate the self-healing potential of the patient, thereby reducing the chance of tumor recurrence.
