Recovery from Knee Injury

In August 2013 I severely injured my knee while working in a dog daycare. I alone was in charge of a group of 30-50 large dogs. Being their "pack leader" I was the one they would all race to when the play got too rough. As luck would have it, or should I say misfortune, it just so happened that all the Bernese mountain dogs that week needed "saving" and my right knee was, for some strange reason, their goal. It got hit repeatedly to the point of not being able to walk or bend my leg. I went to a walk-in clinic where they barely looked at it and sent me for x-rays. The x-rays revealed there was "nothing" wrong. So why was my knee twice the size of the other one and excruciating to walk on?!? I iced and rested my leg as instructed, but it did not help much. I thought I would just have to live with it and hoped it would eventually get better. In November of 2014 I came across the Wu Healing Center website and made an appointment with Dr. Wu. Now mind you I had grown accustomed to the pain and the idea of never wearing shorts again. I made an appointment for a Tui Na massage because I am a reiki practitioner and felt my energy was blocked. I mentioned to Dr. Wu that I had joint pain but downplayed the extent of it thinking it was there forever, unless I got it replaced. My treatment was fabulous , my energy flowed freely and oddly enough my knee pain subsided somewhat. I signed up for healing Qi Gong and Tai Chi classes which greatly helped the swelling in my knee and my leg actually started to feel better. Hope again! In April 2015 I asked Dr. Wu to look at my knee. He had me lay face up on an exam table and looked at both legs. He said "Your right leg is longer than the left. You are out of alignment!" My bone had been out of place for well over a year! He moved my leg up and around in a circle a couple times and pulled it straight....hard...Pop!!! My knee went back in and I was immediately able to walk on it without limping and also able to jump up and down, without pain!!! He told me to take notoginseng to help the blood circulation and swelling. A couple weeks later he brought me some special herbs to cook in a broth with pig's feet and ginger. This combination regenerates soft tissue, cartilage and ligament growth. Anyone who has been told by their doctor their joints are bone on bone should give this a try before doing anything else! I am on day 8 (out of 10)of consuming the broth once a day. For the first time in 20 months I was able to go for a 3 mile walk without excruciating pain and enjoy myself. I was also able to squat down almost to floor level during our Qi Gong class and back up again!!! I am looking forward to having a "normal" knee again and all the wonderful activity that goes along with it, thanks to Dr.Wu!!!

Sincerely,

Lynn Foryan
